Sheet size: 11” x 7” (280 x 178mm)

Condition: 4 unbound pages. Fair to good condition. The paper fragile but not brittle, slightly toned and a little dog-eared at the edges, all as expected in material of this type and period.

The image depicts what might have been a typical Saturday or Sunday in the Painted Hall of Greenwich Hospital. Pensioners, dressed in breeches and some with wooden peg-legs are employed to show visitors the paintings of the Naval Gallery.
