This map shows a somewhat subdued London Underground in a limited palette of just five colours: green (Metropolitan and District), brown (Bakerloo), blue (Piccadilly), red (Central) and black (Northern). It indicates that the Central Line extension to Stratford is under construction and will open in January 1947.
This map is framed and glazed front and back to show the reverse which includes a diagram of Connections with Main Line Termini.
