This atmospheric view of the Trafalgar Tavern shows Bob's graphic skills at their best. His customary composition features a deeply extended foreground, drawn in a myriad of lively marks and lines. The greens and browns created describe the ebb and flow of the mighty river perfectly. While the historic Tavern, famous for it's whitebait suppers, looks on. Robert Brumby studied at the RCA. He was elected as Fellow of the Royal Society of British Sculptors and was formerly Head of York School of Art and Design. His public commissions, in various media, have earned him an International reputation. He lives in North Yorkshire continuing to work on portraits and landscapes. Now he embraces digital media, allowing him to create and print all his own images.
